Product Review: Badger Sleep Balm
THIS REALLY WORKS! 🙂
Here’s my review:
I’m a big fan of several Badger products, especially their Damascus Rose Face Oil (click to read my review).
But when it came to this Sleep Balm, I must admit, I was a bit skeptical. How nice to find out that it works great! 😉
I am not a good sleeper on many a night. 😦 But when I apply Badger Sleep Balm under my nose (and sometimes a bit on my forehead too) I am relaxed, sleepy and ready to sleep, only a short time later.
It really does help to calm my mind, unwind and fall asleep.Helps me to stay asleep longer too, with a deeper sleep.Â
My only (minor) complaint: I wish the scent of lavender was just a bit stronger but that’s a small thing and I’d much rather have a product with less scent than too much. 😉
An all organic ingredient list and reasonable price are bonuses too!
And I love their pretty, reusable containers; perfect for little gifts too.
If you have trouble falling asleep and/or staying asleep, give this product a try.
♥♥
And some additional info. from the Amazon product page:
- The fragrance of the essential oils in this special balm helps to calm thoughts and clear the mind, allowing sleep to come naturally.
- There are no drugs in this product – no side-effects to worry about. It is safe and natural.
- The cute and portable tin makes an ideal travelling companion.
Sweet Dreams! Zzzz…… 😉
Product Review: PDQ Women’s Sport Sandals
If you’re looking for a sport/walking sandal (as I was recently) you might want to check these out. 🙂
My criteria for a walking/sport sandal was:
-lightweight but not cheap material
-easy to take on and off
-good cushioning in the sole
-plenty of air circulation so my feet don’t get hot wearing them for extended periods
-OK to look at
-reasonably pricedÂ
Happily, I got all that and more, with this purchase. 😉
I also was pleasantly surprised how reasonable the postage was to have these sent from the UK, less than $ 4. Wow, how cheap is that? And they arrived in less than a month, not like some other overseas purchases I’ve made that took a LONG, LONG time to get to our little city in Interior BC.
Mine are in the RED-GREY color, and again I was pleased. They are exactly as pictured at Amazon.
I’ve checked out VERY similar sandals locally, supposedly on sale for around $70. These were less than $30. so I call this a real bargain.
Hope you find this review helpful and let me know if you give these sport sandals a try too.
Happy Walking and Week! 🙂
If You ♥ Toast and Jam (and all things organic) ;-)
If you ♥ toast and jam  and all things organic (like I do) this is a product you’ll want to check out! 🙂
Italissima Organic Fruit Spread is oh so yummy good, made with organic fruit from Italy and with no added sugar.
And unlike a lot of commercial jams and fruit spreads, this one is not “jelly-like” with a lot of pulverized fruit. It’s very close to good homemade jam with real fruit pieces that you can actually see!Â
I’ve tried the Blackberry flavor so far and have some of the Blood Orange on the way right now, from Amazon.ca. Unfortunately, did not see this product at Amazon.com but I’m guessing it would be available at a lot of stores in the US and probably Canada too.
The company that makes this product could probably help with where to buy their products in your area, their site can be found here. They also offer several additional flavors of this jam and a wide variety of other gourmet food products. Â
It’s taken me a long time to find a commercial, organic jam that I really like, but I finally did! 😉 Italissima is a keeper!

New Cookbook Progress and Reviewers Needed
I’ve been working on my third cookbook for several months now and have been making slow but steady progress on this project.
This will be the second book/Ebook in the Groovy Green Kitchen series.
This one is all about yummy soups along with a selection of easy, interchangeable side dishes to go with them.
I ♥ soups so much and all year long, so this is definitely an easy topic/book project for me to take on with a lot of interest and enthusiasm!
I have had some unforeseen delays in getting this book completed (most beyond my control) but now I’m thinking that wasn’t such a bad thing after all. 😉 Summer is NOT the time to release a new soup cookbook, the fall is definitely better.
And by autumn: The Groovy Green Kitchen (Volume 2): Simply, Super, Supper Soups will definitely be a “done deal” 😉
In the meantime, I am also still promoting all my other books, including my newest one:
Laughing AT the Grim Reaper! Gems of Wisdom for Aging Well
that I just published in April.
I need more Amazon reviews for all my books and here’s where you come in. 😉
If any of you are interested in reading/reviewing one of my books:Â
Amazon Author’s Page for Geraldine Helen Hartman (click to see list)
send me an email (subject line: book reviewer) at:
veggiecook @ myway . com (spaces removed)
and I will be happy to send along a review/gift Kindle copy for this purpose.
I have 6 Ebooks now available so this is definitely not just for the cooks who are reading this! 😉
And thanks to everyone who has already written reviews for my books/Ebooks! Most appreciated.
Happy Reading, Cooking and Mid-Week!Â
It’s (almost) Sandal-Time! Are You Ready? ;-)
Remember these exercise sandals?
I had a pair when I was a teenager and recently got a new pair as a birthday gift. 🙂
You can read my complete review here.
I am loving the sandals but the buckle closure leaves a lot to be desired. 😦 More about this in my review.
Happy Sandal-Season (has it arrived where you are?)Â
Looking for A Yummy, Crunchy, Gluten-Free Cracker? ;-)
Read my new review of Crunchmaster Multi-Seed Crackers (gluten-free) here.
These are my new fav crackers. 🙂 Even tasty on their own, no topping required.Â
I’m not gluten-intolerant but that just an added  plus for these tasty crackers!
Happy Snacking and Mid-Week!Â
Recent Review Round-Up!
These are 5 recent product and book reviews (2 good, 2 ok and 1 STINKER!!!) that I’ve posted at Amazon and at My Real Life Reviews.

A New Direction for My Real Life Reviews
I’m taking a new direction over at My Real Life Reviews (click to read the post).
I’m spending more and more time at Amazon.com recently, writing reviews. I’m hovering at 2000 in the Amazon reviewers ranks at this point…woo hooo and heading for the Top 1000 soon I hope. I really LOVE to write reviews, can you tell? 😉
So, I thought I’d combine some of my reviews at both sites, to make things easier for me and also to allow me to share more reviews (albeit shorter ones) over at My Real Life Reviews.
I think it’s a change for the better! Hope you do too.
Happy Reading and Weekend too! 🙂
