Happy Cooking and Mid-Week, G 🙂
Taaa daaa…… My New Cookbook is Now Available! :-)
The Groovy Green Kitchen (Volume II): Simply, Super, Supper Soups
is now available in Kindle and print book formats at: Amazon.com, .ca, UK….
I am SO happy to finally have this cookbook completed. 🙂 And I’m pleased with the results too.
I hope you’ll check it out soon, over at Amazon and if you can, please spread the word too.
In the meantime, I’ve got a ton of ideas on the go, for promoting this new book.
And then, it’s on to my next book project, that’s already in progress. 😉
Have a wonderful week!
Happy Cooking and Reading. G
Cookbook Countdown! ;-)
I’m type, type, typing…. away!!!
I’ve made the end of February, my deadline for finishing my newest cookbook (print and Kindle/eBook versions):
The Groovy Green Kitchen II: Simply, Super, Supper Soups
I think I can still reach my time goal; I am on the home stretch. 😉
I don’t know why this particular book project has taken me sooooo long to complete.
But right now, I’m just focused on the fact that it IS almost complete and that’s a good thing! 🙂
In the meantime, I am having a free Kindle promo this weekend for my other GGK cookbook:
The Groovy Green Kitchen I: Weeknight Veggie Slow Cooker
It will be available as a free Kindle/eBook download, all this weekend (Feb. 20-22) at:
Amazon.com, .ca, UK….
♥♥♥
And here’s a sample soup recipe from the GGK II:
Southern Nights Slow Cooker Veggie and Sausage Gumbo…
….to get your taste-buds ready for the full collection. 😉
In addition to lots of great soups in this new book/eBook, there’s a variety of side dishes to go along with them.
Wish me luck for finishing “on time” and happy weekend, G
New Cookbook Progress and Reviewers Needed
I’ve been working on my third cookbook for several months now and have been making slow but steady progress on this project.
This will be the second book/Ebook in the Groovy Green Kitchen series.
This one is all about yummy soups along with a selection of easy, interchangeable side dishes to go with them.
I ♥ soups so much and all year long, so this is definitely an easy topic/book project for me to take on with a lot of interest and enthusiasm!
I have had some unforeseen delays in getting this book completed (most beyond my control) but now I’m thinking that wasn’t such a bad thing after all. 😉 Summer is NOT the time to release a new soup cookbook, the fall is definitely better.
And by autumn: The Groovy Green Kitchen (Volume 2): Simply, Super, Supper Soups will definitely be a “done deal” 😉
In the meantime, I am also still promoting all my other books, including my newest one:
Laughing AT the Grim Reaper! Gems of Wisdom for Aging Well
that I just published in April.
I need more Amazon reviews for all my books and here’s where you come in. 😉
If any of you are interested in reading/reviewing one of my books:
Amazon Author’s Page for Geraldine Helen Hartman (click to see list)
send me an email (subject line: book reviewer) at:
veggiecook @ myway . com (spaces removed)
and I will be happy to send along a review/gift Kindle copy for this purpose.
I have 6 Ebooks now available so this is definitely not just for the cooks who are reading this! 😉
And thanks to everyone who has already written reviews for my books/Ebooks! Most appreciated.
Happy Reading, Cooking and Mid-Week!
Recent Review Round-Up!
These are 5 recent product and book reviews (2 good, 2 ok and 1 STINKER!!!) that I’ve posted at Amazon and at My Real Life Reviews.
I hope you find them interesting and helpful.
If you do, a “helpful” vote for any of my reviews at Amazon (I’m Geraldine in BC over there) 😉 would be appreciated! 🙂

The Groovy Green Kitchen: Weeknight Veggie Slow Cooker – A Book Review
***Thanks to Chef Julianna at Foodie on Board for this wonderful review of my new cookbook: The Groovy Green Kitchen, Weeknight Veggie Slow Cooker. ***
Happy Cooking and Weekend to All! 🙂
I have only been blogging for about 7 months now, but it has opened up a whole new world to me: one brought to life by talented, creative, and friendly people – fellow bloggers. I really had no idea just how much I would enjoy “hanging out” with this positive, energetic bunch of people who give so much time and energy to supporting and encouraging one another. So today I thought I would give back a bit, and celebrate the talent of a prolific food blogger. Geraldine Hartman of Veggies, Yarns and Tails is the author of a number of cookbooks, several books of Haiku and a novel. I recently acquired a copy of Geraldine’s, “The Groovy Green Kitchen: Weeknight Veggie Slow Cooker”, and recovered my slow cooker from the back of a cupboard where it had been languishing for a number of years. …

Raiding My Cookbook Stash! ;-)
I ♥ cookbooks!
I have a large collection of all kinds of cookbooks. Many of them supplied by publishers and authors over the years, as review copies. I spent one afternoon last week, going through some of my favs from the cookbook shelf and picked out some recipes from all of the ones shown here. And yes, two of those are mine. 😉
I made a new version of ratatouille last night from Alive Magazine, which was quite good and from the slow cooker, ♥ that too.
Today, I’m making: Dilly Potato Salad from the Sensational Salads cookbook. I’ve made that one before and it’s delish. Lots of dill and other yummy ingredients in this one.
Here’s a link to that recipe from a previous post, if you’d like to try it.
What’s on the menu for supper at your place tonight?
And do you have a favorite ‘go-to’ cookbook?
Happy Cooking! 🙂
Hooray for Soup Time!

I’ve been making a variety of favorite soup recipes lately. It’s great to get back to cooking after the long, hot summer.
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. I am NOT a hot weather person.
I thought I’d share a collection of some of my favorite soups today.
I’ve included photos and links back to the original posts that include the recipes and readers comments.
Do let me know if you’ve given any or all of these a try.
It’s soup time again….and the cooking is oh so easy! 🙂
