Another Movie Night Suggestion! :-)

Nuns on the Run

A few months ago, I posted about one of my fav movies (Matinee) and a brand of organic popcorn I like, you can read that post here.

Thought it would be fun to share another comedy fav movie with you today, this one starring a couple of very talented Brits, Robbie Coltrane and Eric Idle.

Nuns on the Run:

is one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen and it’s one that I’ve watched many, many times too. It’s that kind of movie. And for me, it’s been just as funny on the re-viewing as it was the first time, even though I already know what’s going to happen next. πŸ˜‰

Brian (Eric Idle) and Charlie (Robbie Coltrane) are small-time criminals who are fed up with their lives of crime and are now on the run from not only their gangster boss but also the police and the Triads. With no other way out, they duck into a convent, change their suits for nun’s habits and that’s when the real laughs begin. πŸ™‚

I won’t spoil the plot but suffice to say, this one is an oldie but still a real goodie, when it comes to comedy classics.Β

Oh, one more thing, in the extra features included with the film, they even interviewed some real nuns to see what they thought of this movie. Most of them really enjoyed it, except for a bit of foul language. I thought that was so cool that they took the time to get that kind of feedback. But the movie portrays nuns for the most part as intelligent and street smart too, so what’s not to like, even if you are a nun! πŸ˜‰

Right now, it’s available at Amazon.com for less than $7. so this is a great time to get a copy.

Let me know if you give this one a try.

Happy Viewing and Week!
