Hello Again! Early Autumn Update
Hope everyone had a great summer!
I’m having a wonderful early autumn, currently visiting Vancouver Island and will probably be moving here soon too.

It was a very hectic summer for us so the “chill time” we are now enjoying is much needed and appreciated.
I hope to be back to blogging on a more regular basis in the next few weeks. But for now, sending you all best wishes and thanks for your continued support of my blogs/books…it is most appreciated!

It’s Thanksgiving weekend, here in Canada!
Mr. Cheddar and I are both grateful for so many things.
Here are a few from our gratitude and catitude lists, 😉
MY GRATITUDE LIST:
-For everyone I have loved and those who have loved me in return.
-To be living in a country at peace.
–For the fabulous felines (including Mr. Cheddar, Mitzi, Lois, Tasha, Prince Porkie…) who have shared my journey.
-My talents and abilities.
-My good health and good energy.
-The beauty in nature: clean water, beautiful birds, plants, trees, blue skies, the changing weather.
-The simple pleasures like: reading a good book, knitting, blogging, cooking, walking.
and so much more….

MR. CHEDDAR’S CATITUDE LIST:
-Lots of kibble and treats in the cupboard, at ALL TIMES!
-Waking up Meowmie and Pawmie at the crack of dawn.
-Groom-groom day (Sunday), how I love to be groomed!
-Catching a nice, juicy bug and eating it, yummm, ♥ the crunchy ones!
-An afternoon power-nap, dreaming of mice and/or a fetching, female feline.
-My many online fans, feline and human.
-And of course… my superior talents as a writer and blogger.
-Need I mention, my oh so handsome appearance?

How Has Your Summer Been So Far???
Wow, did the last two months fly by or is it just me? 😉
I can’t believe that September is just around the corner already.
But IMO, that’s a good thing ’cause my fav season is autumn.
I hope you have all been having a wonderful summer so far. And it’s not quite over, is it? 😉
How has your weather been? It’s been a VERY dry, hot summer here in BC. 😦
I’m still busy with summer “stuff” right now but have some post ideas and reviews in the works that I hope you’ll enjoy.
I hope to be back to regular posting (and blog visiting!) in the next couple of weeks.

Brown Betty
This oh-so yummy photo of Apple Brown Betty stopped me in my WP tracks this morning. 😉 I want some right now.
I make a similar dessert but definitely not with that much butter or sugar. 😦 The photo did inspire me to make some soon though. 🙂 Do you have a fav Brown Betty recipe?

Brown Betty is a traditional American dessert made from fruit (usually apple) and sweetened bread crumbs. It is similar to a cobbler or apple crisp, and the fruit is baked. It is an old dessert, first mentioned in print in 1864. Apple Brown Betty was one of the favorite desserts of Ronald and Nancy Reagan in the White House. They served Apple Brown Betty at my elementary school cafeteria and I loved it. They served real food back in the sixties and seventies!
