Apple 🍎 Time Has Arrived!

cropped-046.jpg

One of the many things I ❤ about autumn, the harvest fruits and vegetables at their peak, and all the yummy recipes to use them in.

Apples are way up on that list!😊

The recipe (see page two) for:

AppleSour Cream, Crumb Pie

is one of my🍎 favorites that I hope you enjoy soon.

I’m making one of these oh so rich and yummy pies, later today.

Definitely good but definitely NOT for a dieting day!!😏

Recipe: Curried Apple Soup

**I’m just getting over a cold and soup is the only thing I crave to eat right now.**

Hope you enjoy this encore post for one of my fav autumn soups.

Fall is a great time of year for all kinds of apple recipes and this soup is a bit different, with the addition of curry.

Now I’m off to take a nap. I don’t “do sick” often or well. :<(

VEGGIES, YARNS & TAILS

One of the many pleasures of fall are the beautiful ‘fresh from the orchard’ apples that are now available. Of course they don’t last long before starting to lose their crisp and delicious texture so must be used up fairly quickly.

In addition to making apple: pies, butters, crisps and good old baked; this is one of my favorite ways to use up some of the abundant fall crop. Tangy colorful and something a bit different for supper or lunch. Hope you will enjoy this luscious soup soon.

PS: My apologies for the very small print and a bit of wonky formatting in some of these previous recipe posts. For some reason, WP wouldn’t allow me to update to a larger font when I tried to do that tonight. 😦

The quirks of WordPress, eh? 😉

It’s Apple Time Again!

Is there anything more delish than a fresh, tree-ripened apple? I think not. 😉

As I’ve said (again and again) I love Autumn for so many reasons.

Apples and the fall harvest of tree fruits and root veggies are a big part of why.
