A New Direction for My Real Life Reviews
I’m taking a new direction over at My Real Life Reviews (click to read the post).
I’m spending more and more time at Amazon.com recently, writing reviews. I’m hovering at 2000 in the Amazon reviewers ranks at this point…woo hooo and heading for the Top 1000 soon I hope. I really LOVE to write reviews, can you tell? 😉
So, I thought I’d combine some of my reviews at both sites, to make things easier for me and also to allow me to share more reviews (albeit shorter ones) over at My Real Life Reviews.
I think it’s a change for the better! Hope you do too.
Happy Reading and Weekend too! 🙂
Mr. Cheddar and Some New Pals! ;-)
Mr. Cheddar is having a wee bit of fun today with some new garden pals!
They are also not-so-patiently, waiting for spring to arrive. 😉
How’s the weather, where you are?
Here in BC, the sun is shining today ♥ it!
Hope you have a great weekend. 🙂
Toodle loo for now…from me, Chedster and the Rockin’ Gnomes!!!

PS: On an entirely different topic:
I have another free Kindle book promo this weekend, you can check out the details here.
A Sneak Peek Recipe from My Upcoming Cookbook!
My new cookbook: The Groovy Green Kitchen II. Simply, Super, Supper Soups is coming along nicely! 😉
I’ve still got a lot of typing ahead of me, formatting and a few more recipes to develop. But well on the way.
In the meantime, I thought you might enjoy a ‘sneak peek’ recipe to enjoy now:
Southern Nights Slow Cooker Veggie-Sausage Gumbo.
If you didn’t think gumbo could be good without shrimp or meat added to it, think again.
This version is truly: YUMMY GOOD! 🙂
What a perfect time of year to enjoy a bowl of hearty, stick-to-your ribs gumbo.
And this one is oh so easy, from the slow cooker!
I featured some herbs and spices from The Spice House in this gumbo and they have now added this recipe to their website for readers to enjoy there too. Hope you will as well!
Stay tuned for the second volume of The Groovy Green Kitchen, which I hope to have available at Amazon by the end of February.
And if you haven’t checked it out already, here’s a link to the first volume of that cookbook series:
(Kindle and Print versions available)
Happy Cooking! 🙂

Need a Last Minute Crochet Gift to Make?
I’ve always ♥ making (and getting!) handmade gifts, at any time of year.
There’s something so special about a present that someone took the time to make, large or small and in whatever type of craft it was created from.
I also ♥ crochet, although I haven’t been doing that much “hooking” 😉 in the past year. I hope to get back to more crochet projects in 2014.
I found this short but well done Christmas crochet book:
Christmas Crochet Done In a Day
over at Amazon recently and decided to give it a try.
Here’s my review from Amazon:
“Christmas Crochet: Done In a Day features attractive holiday crochet projects that definitely would be doable in a day or two.
IMO, there is nothing better than handmade gifts at any time of year. The crafts in this book would make excellent holiday gifts that would be well received by the recipient.
Instructions are easy to understand.
In spite of it being a rather small book, there are projects that would appeal to young and old, two and four- legged pals too!
As an avid and long-time crocheter, I’m glad I downloaded a copy of Christmas Crochet: Done In A Day.”

If you’d still like to make some crochet Christmas crafts but need a little inspiration, give this ebook a try. And do let me know what you make!
Happy Hooking and Holidays! 😉

Another Jane Fonda Prime Time DVD Review
I’ve been a fan of many of the Jane Fonda exercise DVDs and for a lot of years.
But recently, I tried out the: Prime Time Firm & Burn DVD and I wasn’t pleased with it.
You can read my full review here. I’ve also included links to two other previous Prime Time exercise reviews in the post. Those I really enjoy and use on a regular basis.
