More “Simple” Pleasures😊
I made a big batch of slow cooker party mix last week.
And today, I’m enjoying a little dish of these yummy morsels, along with a good, long Kindle browse. A simple pleasure.
It got me thinking again about all the simple (but special) pleasures in life we can so easily take for granted.
Here is a short list of some of my:
Simple Pleasures…
-Enjoying the morning outside, with a fresh organic coffee and sunshine on my face.
-Curling up with a good book under a warm, cozy throw.
-Creating something special in the kitchen.
-Watching a new plant sprout and come to life as it breaks through the soil.
-Listening to church bells on Sunday morning.
-Savoring a pleasant memory from long ago.
-A long, brisk walk.
-Rain on my face.

Popping Perfection!😁
Who Doesn’t ❤ Fresh, Homemade Popcorn?
But popping the perfect pop can be tricky.
I personally don’t like air popped popcorn. I think it’s rather tasteless. IMO, a little oil when making popcorn is worth the calories, along with a drizzle of butter to top.😉
The stovetop method (see link below) I tried recently yielded excellent results.
Follow each simple step to the letter and get ready for popping perfection.

The Unpacking Continues…
After our recent move on Vancouver Island, we’ve been spending a LOT of time unpacking.
We had MANY, many boxes in storage, for years. Some even from my mom’s place. Slowly but surely, the end is in sight.
I love to giveaway things I no longer need and so far we’ve donated over 100 boxes of various items, to charity. Having garage sales just didn’t seem worth the time.
In -between unpacking and other commitments, we’ve been enjoying our new home and the incredible weather we’ve been enjoying so far this summer.
Mr. Cheddar is doing great too.
He hasn’t changed much through the years. People are always amazed that he’s 17 plus years and still so healthy and active!

In spite of a very mild BC coastal winter. I’m still craving spring in a big way.😊
