Some (free) Groovy Glove Patterns and a Tutorial!

Have you ever knit a pair of gloves?

I just started knitting gloves in the past couple of years.

I’m only on my second pair right now but they are a fun knitting challenge. πŸ˜‰ Some new techniques to learn too.

I’m making the Unisex Gloves from the One Skein Book by Leigh Radford (click to read my review)Β in a forest green yarn. I’ll share a photo when they are complete. I’m kind of slow when it comes to glove knitting but I’ll get there. πŸ˜‰

The beautiful gloves shown above are all part of a new free ebook from Interweave.

You can download your free copy here.

Looks like a great collection! I’d like to make those purple ones in the bottom row.Β

I also useΒ this glove tutorial at Very Pink.Β The step by step instructions in the video that you can start and stop as you knit along with Stacy, is SO helpful.

Some other great knitting tutorials and resources over at Very Pink too. Β

Happy Knitting! πŸ™‚

  1. I agree, the purple ones you mention are my favorite too. I used to knit. Actually followed a pattern once but alas no time in it nowadays, nor the same interest. πŸ˜€

  2. I like the gloves your knitting, they are going to be so nice when they are finished. You do a great job. Nice collection of gloves here too.

  3. I have been knitting for many years and yes, I have made a few pair of gloves. My experience is that making gloves is a slow process to be enjoyed and not rushed πŸ™‚

  4. I have always wondered what it’s like to knit. Maybe one day when I retire…. Love the purple ones. Perhaps because purple is my favorite color.

Thanks for dropping by my nook. To answer your question, that was a fruit called Durian. I have edited the post to include a link for more info about this controversial fruit πŸ™‚

  5. You know me G. my scarves turn out looking like half a skirt????

  6. I LOVE to knit Tess, when I don’t have at least a couple of projects on the go, it feels like something is missing. πŸ˜‰ But I’ve had periods of time where I didn’t knit for a long time. I always came back though. Glad you like the purple gloves too!

They are turning out pretty good Joe, I agree. I’m kind of slow getting them done though. πŸ˜‰

Good advice Tracks! I’ll remember that when I’m wondering why these are taking so long to complete. LOL

Oh, thanks for the update about that photo Hazel, I didn’t know what it was! And yes, do give knitting a try, it’s so much fun, in so many ways.

LOL Lorraine, keep going and you’ll have enough for a full skirt. πŸ™‚

    Happy Crafting, G
