Your Smoothie (Powder) Suggestions Please! ;-)

smoothies

I’ve been TRYING to find a protein/greens powder product to add to smoothies that:

-Provides a good amount and variety of essential vitamins and minerals.

-Good quality protein too, if possible.

-Is organic (or mainly organic).

-Tastes great, but I’d settle for palatable!

Do you have any suggestions for a brand to try?

I really am stumped on this one.

The ones I’ve tried or have looked at so far are either: lacking in vitamins/minerals/protein, taste absolutely gross unless masked by a bunch of other add-on ingredients or have a lot of strange, non-organic ingredients that I don’t want to consume.

Thanks if you can help.

Happy Blending! ;)

This is a product my SIL uses. He gave us a packet to try. It says to mix in water, and best taken on an empty stomach, so you might not get full benefits in a smoothie.

  3. What I have found at my all organic store are Fruit Blast 100% Natural it says 100% whey protein Isolate my favourite Black Rasberry, also yummy tropical Mango it tastes delicious they also have Strawberyy and Kiwi which is quite good There is 21%gr Protein, 4g, carb, 100 calories Per 1 scoop but their scoop are large ingredients say: Whey Protein Isolate (cold Cross-Flow Ultrafiltered and Advanced micro-filtered) Xylitol, Citric Acid, Natural flavour, Blueberry powder, Stevia Extract and Beet Root I mix it with mineral water and it is delicious and at the end of the month when I’m out of food like now, I drink 3 or 4 glasses of these per day and I’m fine. I don’t know if this is what you’re looking for but I thought I’d mention it…It’s very tasty–and would you believe, it’s Quatily Guaranteed from 4EVER fit FROM DIG THIS: Coquitlam, BC 108—931-4247 A Division of Prairie Naturals….PrairieNaturals.ca check them out from BC I never saw that lol

  4. I love smoothies, but prefer to use fresh fruit, (i.e. bananas, blueberries, strawberries) yogurt, milk and ice to make one. But, know the powders can add substance and protein.

  5. Lady Fi, I thought this was a yummy photo! ;)

I’ll check that out, thanks Patti!

And thank you too Lorraine for the suggestions, sound yummy!

I think I’m expecting too much from one product Joyce but I thought it was worth a try, asking. ;) I love different berries in smoothies most of all but it would be nice to have a powder to add that would add some other essential vitamins etc…

Any other suggestions are appreciated, thank you!

    Happy Tuesday, G

  6. I forgot how great smoothies are. Yum!

  7. I don’t make very many smoothies as I prefer to eat fruit is it is.

  8. It is hard to find a good smoothie powder to add to other ingredients. And organic is so important, I agree.

  9. Hi Geraldine. My favourite one is “Shakeology” Greenberry flavour. You can only order it online through Team Beachbody. I first found it after reading an article about the founder of the company in an Oprah magazine. It is a bit pricey, but I think the quality is excellent. We drank it for a couple of years.

  10. Hi Jacqui, Nice to see you again. They can be great, a meal in a glass but you’ve got to have the right ingredients to make them work! ;)

Hi Spirit of Simplicity, I hear ya! It’s good to eat foods whole but sometimes ‘mixing it up’ a bit can be fun and tasty too. ;)

Hi Joe, Organic IS so important and can be hard to find for these kinds of products. But that is getting better. Still looking for the perfect one to buy.

Hi Julianna, Thanks for the recommendation I will definitely check it out.

    Happy Blending, G
