I took this photo of our ‘Pride of the Patch’ last week, as the rain continued to fall…
May not be House and Garden material but it’s kind of fun all the same, watching the potato plants getting bigger by the day ! And no pesky beetles eating up the gorgeous leaves, thanks to the expert advice from Caroline over at Earth Friendly Gardening. Thanks C !
Watch for a homestyle Potato Salad recipe coming soon. Creamy, rich and delicious, just like mom use to make…..And a great way to use up some of the potato harvest. Yummm…..
Happy Gardening and Cooking.

The potato patch looks great! Congratulations on a job well done.
Wow! It looks like you’ll have lots of yummy potatoes. What kind are you growing?
Oooohhh, I LOVE potato salad. I haven’t had any in a while!! I’ll be looking forward to the recipe!!
And, as much as I eat potatoes, I need to have a patch growing somewhere.
Hello, Thanks for visiting my blog.
I can’t believe you are growing your own potatoes!! I always look highly upon anyone who grows their own produce as I myself don’t have a green thumb. I can’t wait to see your potato salad!!
Your potatoes are looking wonderful! I am excited to see the salad. Hmm if they only have smell-o vision and Taste-o vision on computers..
Teddy
Your potatoe garden looks just lovely. I don’t see very many weeds either. I hope they grow and grow.
Good eating. I am going to try your potatoe salad (without the olives). Thanks
Hi C, Compared to what you accomplish in gardens, this is SMALL POTATOES LOL….:)
Hi Beth, I know they are the red kind, not sure of the actual name. I know Pontiacs are good ones, hope that’s what these are. The bag got thrown away LOL…
Hi Tasha, Hope you do have a potato/garden patch soon. What a great thing to grow veggies, or any other plants (except weeds of course)!
Hi JenJen, Love your blog, Im glad I stopped by too. Hope you will give the potato salad a try.
Hi Teddy, If anyone came up with smell and taste o vision they’d be very rich indeed. Let me know if you find a provider!!!
Hi Elaine, Thanks for the compliments. I like the ‘rainy’ look to this pic but the spuds are getting really big now, with all the recent sun. Don’t like olives, is that possible??? LOL
Thanks to all of you for stopping by, Geraldine
That is so cool, G. What’re ya gonna do with all the potatoes yer growin’?! Do you have fave potato dishes or are you going to try something new? Or both!?
